Some of these conditions include sexually transmitted diseases, history of pelvic inflammatory disease, endometriosis, low sperm count and motility, an eating disorder, abnormalities of the uterus, a chronic disease, among others. Some of these conditions can be treated to boost your chances of conception; others can't.

First of all, you can keep trying. A number of couples have gone on to conceive a baby (usually by surprise) after hearing confirmation from their doctors that they are in fact unable to get pregnant.

If you have the budget for it, you can also try alternatives if you can't get pregnent on your own, including in-vitro fertilization, surrogacy, using a sperm donor, and adoption. However, most of these options can be expensive, and also all carry with them a certain element of risk.

It's best to conduct some investigative research and ask your doctor a lot of questions before choosing an alternative route when you can't get pregnent.
