California headquartered, SanDisk is one of the few leading companies of the world that designs, develops and manufactures USB flash memory and flash storage card products for a wide variety of electronic systems and digital devices. SanDisk consumer products include Imaging Cards, Gaming Cards, Mobile Memory, USB Flash Drives and Readers. SanDisk USB flash drives have latest technology that blocks and prevents the entering of malware in the SanDisk flash drive even if the flash drive is utilized outside firewall. In a recent announcement, the Chairman and chief executive officer, SanDisk, Eli Harari explains, ?These new flash storage products will significantly enhance the way in which consumers capture and enjoy their precious memories, personal content, and valuable data in handsets and computing platforms. With these important product introductions, SanDisk is again taking the lead in ushering the next wave of growth for flash storage in the years ahead.?

On 21st October, 2008, McAfee, Inc. (NYSE: MFE) and SanDisk Corporation (NASDAQ: SNDK) have declared the launch of SanDisk Cruzer Enterprise USB drive protected with McAfee anti-malware. To protect the corporate USB flash drive users from data leaks, both SanDisk and McAfee together developed the solution that includes the McAfee Scan Engine, which offers advanced heuristic analysis for comprehensive detection of both known and unknown threats. This ?always on? safeguard technology blocks malware from entering the secure USB flash drive even when the device is used outside of the firewall. It protects the corporate users of Universal serial bus drive from leaking of data. SanDisk Cruzer Enterprise is the best so far and perfect solution for IT departments and mobile workforce where top priority is given to data security.

?SanDisk Cruzer Enterprise is an ideal solution for the mobile workforce and for IT departments concerned with data security, because it allows employees to have access to data everywhere and yet be fully protected,? said Roy Ramati, vice president and general manager, Enterprise Division at SanDisk. ?Adding McAfee's technology to our security solutions for the enterprise enables our customers to extend their security perimeter to mobile storage.?

The SanDisk Cruzer Enterprise flash drive performs automated scan for malware and spyware; and prevents the transferring of file to the secure flash drive after detection of infection on the host's infected PC. Malware, a portmanteau from the words malicious and software, is a kind of software designed to infiltrate or damage a computer system without the system owner's informed consent. The expression is a general term used by computer professionals to mean a variety of forms of hostile, intrusive, or annoying software or program code. The term "computer virus" is sometimes used as a catch-all phrase to include all types of malware, including true viruses. (Courtesy: Wikipedia.org)

Scan engine is tested for many years and is the basis of the anti-malware solutions by McAfee, Inc. The users of SanDisk Cruzer Enterprise edition are completely protected and safe from malicious malware codes. SanDisk flash drive protects the stored data with AES 256 bit hardware based encryption. So during the process of set-up, the users have to generate a password. The blend of password and encryption in case the drive is stolen or lost, creates extreme difficulties for the unauthorized person in accessing the information on the flash drive. Therefore, the company's valuable and precious information can be kept safe from unauthorized and unofficial users. SanDisk flash drive is durable, reliable and has the advanced, latest and innovative technologies that facilitate and benefits its customers.
