Romantic Destinations in Vermont

Out of all of the states found in the New England region of the United States, Vermont has to be the one that is considered most romantic. Many people choose romantic destinations in Vermont because of this special atmosphere, which is enhanced by the relaxed feel of the towns and population in the state, as well as the beautiful landscape. The Green Mountains call this area home, and this state is perfect for visiting in any season. If you enjoy beautiful summer days, skiing in the winter or extravagant fall foliage, this is the place for you.

There are many different regions within Vermont that are excellent for your romantic stay. If you are planning a trip in the winter months, a spot near one of the many ski resort areas may be preferable. Places like Stowe and Killington are hot spots for skiers, and if you are coming here to enjoy the snow, these are the places to check. Other tourist favorites include Bennington and Manchester, which are great any time of year. One bed and breakfast that's great for your romantic destinations in Vermont is located right near the slopes in Stowe.

The Stone Hill Inn is a recently built bed and breakfast (1998) that is located in the town of Stowe. Voted one of the top twelve b and b's in the US by Forbes magazine, this Inn is a perfect winter retreat. Each of the nine guest rooms here includes both a two person Jacuzzi and a fireplace, for maximum romance, as well as a fluffy king size bed with down bedding. An outdoor hot tub is also provided for guest usage, as is a well stocked guest pantry. A full breakfast, including entrees and baked goods, is also served each morning.

If you choose to visit the Stone Hill Inn in warmer months, you will still have plenty to do in the area. The Ben and Jerry's ice cream factory tour is nearby, as well as many quaint towns and villages housing little shops and antique stores. Covered bridges are located close by as well, for driving and enjoying the scenery. If you want your romantic destinations in Vermont to be really special, you can also add one of the Stone Hill Inn's romance packages. The Inn offers the unique experience of a couple's portrait session, where you can get an album full of professional photographs taken by a local photographer. Or, how about a Romantic Sleigh Ride or Couples Tandem Massage? No matter what special touches you choose, a trip here will be memorable.

Staying in Vermont can be a bonding and relaxing experience for any couple. Enjoying the quiet feel of a small town inn while also enjoying each others company will bring you closer together than you've ever felt before. Romantic destinations in Vermont are perfect for newlyweds or long time lovers.
