When it comes to vacationing, it’s best not to do things halfway. If you’re going through the trouble of taking time off work, lassoing your companions together, packing up your suitcases and dropping a few bucks, be sure to take a real trip, one that will allow you to replenish your energy supply, recharge your batteries, and relax into the state of mind that you feel most comfortable in.

There’s a place on Florida’s Gulf Coast that would provide the perfect backdrop for this full-throttle, serious-about-kicking back getaway. It’s called Cape Coral, and it was literally created within the last few years to serve as a haven for cold-weather victims, tired souls, and overdrawn workaholics. This canal-infused, vacation rental-filled destination is blessed with both natural beauty and man-made conveniences, so enjoying yourself here is a matter of when, not if.

Renting a vacation property will make you feel like one of those privileged people who use the word “winter" as a verb. From beachfront villas decorated with the most modern furniture to condos that are practically luxurious, you’ll feel lucky to be alive as you unpack your bags (into big closets and real, wooden chests of drawers, by the way) and settle into more than just a hotel room. This vacation is going to be all about your mindset, and when you’re setting up shop in an actual house that delights you with charming details around every corner, believe that it’ll be pretty darn easy to find that your mood is as light as a feather.

Cape Coral’s fabulous beaches and easy to navigate layout will have you hopping on and off your boat with ease, touring the coastline, and enjoying plenty of lounging time stretched out on your favorite beach blanket. Many rental properties have swimming pools at their disposal, but this geographically ample town has plenty of wide open space where the ocean meets the land, too. Basically, whatever floats you boat will be available to you.

Cape Coral has eco-tours to guide visitors through the diverse wetlands brimming with wildlife, and there are also lots of shopping and amusement opportunities in this vacationer’s play land. Water parks for the kiddies, vast stretches of seashell dotted sand, restaurants, beach bars and souvenir stands will all compete for the chance to whisk you and your loved ones away to the responsibility-free world that Florida is known to encourage. Don’t feel that sticking close to “home" is a bad thing, though. Many Cape Coral visitors who have deemed it worthy to rent a villa or town home are satisfied with taking their time to read a book, cook a family meal, or just hang out and play games together.

Considering the fact that your property will likely contain the sorts of amenities that make life easier – washer and dryer, dishwasher, full kitchen – as well as a few fun ones thrown in for good measure – entertainment center, hot tub, game room, consider the house to be an important component of the trip that shouldn’t be given short shrift. Especially if you’ve previously only stuck to blah-hotels or nicer ones that still didn’t make you totally happy, take this chance to try something new and very likely to please you and everyone in your group.

Cape Coral Vacation Rentals are worth checking out if you’re in the market for a complete escape from the realities of the everyday, so go online to peruse the extensive listings in this holiday-happy area and start chasing down the getaway that you know you deserve.
