Folder printing is an expensive endeavor. There are a lot of factors that make it costly to produce. However, this isn't really a drawback to presentation folder printing. In fact, an expensive folder printing bill means that you are printing very high quality presentation folders. Do you really know where all that money goes to when you print presentation folders? For your information, here are the main options that make folder printing expensive, but well worth the money in terms of quality.

The paper stock - The paper or cardboard stock is of course the main body of the folder. This comes in many kinds of thickness, textures and colors. If you find that your folder printing bill is a bit expensive, this means that you are probably printing in glossy high quality paper stock. Check with your folder printing service for the details, but most probably you should have the options of aqueous coating, Ultra Violet light protection, and sometimes even scratch resistant and water resistant coatings are added.

These coatings make your presentation folder quite strong and durable. They also give a nice final finish to your folders making them look better and shine. So it is really well worth the expense. If you really want the best presentation folder for your work, you have to pay for the best as well.

The print quality - The printing quality itself can also be a factor in your printing bill. This basically refers to the ink that is used on the color folder itself. Some people print in full four colors or “CMYK” (Cyan, Yellow, Magenta and Black) for their folders, while some are content with monochrome black and white and other simpler styles. Four color printing however is the best and the most beautiful printing process out there. Coupled with the use of special inks like metallic and glittering inks, your presentation folders can really look quite elegant and professional. If your presentation folders already look this way, then expensive cost is well justified.

The custom cuts - Also, custom cutting can add a few more dollars to your bill. Most presentation folders are printed using standard settings with printing and cutting machines. If you want or you are printing custom sized or custom shaped color folders, then your bill will definitely go up. Customization requires some extra money since the printer needs to re-adjust his equipment to cater to your special design needs. Although very troublesome and expensive, custom cuts are a good way to stand out among other presentation folders. So it is worth the Investment if you have the money.

The printing service - Lastly, your folder printing bill can be expensive if you choose the wrong kind of printing service. Some printing services just charge a little bit more because they are already an “established” brand or company. More expensive printers might strain your budget, but they usually do their job professionally with the most advanced printing equipment out there. If your presentation folder is going to be used at a crucial meeting, then it is almost a given that you should spend a little bit more for the online printer. Make sure though that you get your money's worth by specifying the best options for high quality presentation folder printing.

All in all, you should see that the money in folder printing is more or less going to the right places in terms of your options for the folder elements. Expensive as these options come, they should really pay that value back for you with an increased competitiveness at work. So don't worry, spend a little bit more now, and reap the benefits later.
