The EIPC Winter Conference 2009, one of the four annual meeting organised by the European Institute for Printed Circuit, EIPC, whose directive committee SOMACIS is member, has just closed in Amsterdam. During the time EIPC Conferences had become events of primary importance and interest for everyone involved in the market of printed circuit boards.



The schedule of the present event begun with an introductive session focused on a market overview, with particular attention to the Europe-China counterpoising, and the analysis of the survival strategies for European pcb companies.

It followed a series of sessions dedicated to the theme of the cost saving obtainable by the improvement of the existing manufacturing processes, the introduction of new technologies (like the nanotechnology), the attention to the energy (with the presentation of the project surfenergy) and the environment, with also papers on RoHS and REACH recommendations.

One of the most appreciated speech was by Giacomo Angeloni, R&D Manager at SOMACIS pcb industries and EIPC Vice Chairman, who presented SOMACIS? strategies to overcome the global economic crisis of the present time: company positioning on technology and quality top levels, product and process innovation, merger&acquisition activities, synergic partnerships.
