I ask this question to a lot of different people that I come in contact with. When they ask what I do for a living, I tell them I work from home. It's funny the response I get most of the time? "Oh? What exactly do you do?" This is when I string them along a little bit and I say I really only work part time - still maintaining a full time income. With their eyes wide open and jaw dropped, they always ask me the same question: How?



That's the elusive part. Working from home isn't for everyone. You need a certain amount of enterprising spirit, a knack for finding niches others won't touch, and you need to persevere. Unfortunately, when someone says they work at home, people envision those who wake up at noon and then squeeze in a couple of 'phone calls' before their afternoon soap opera hits the television.

You can run your work at home business this way, but I can assure you that you would be setting yourself up for failure. You can easily get lost in all of the 'extra' time that you have now that you work from home - but I can tell you from experience, that time is much better spent building your business so it makes the most efficient money in the least amount of time.

If you work hard in the time that you are given, I have little doubt you can work at home part time and still make a full time income. Here's how:

"Pick your business - What do you want to do when you work at home? Running an Internet business is probably the easiest way to make a decent income with the least amount of work. However, finding the right groove for an Internet business to flourish may take a long period of time. It can, however, end up being a great work at home opportunity.

"Make it good - Don't spread yourself thin, there's no need to. I would suggest you have one great business, instead of 4 average ones. The four average ones are going to be more overall work, and they are still only going to make you the same work at home income as one great business. So why not make it great to start?

"More you put in - … the more you will get out. This is why you can't just sit at home and do 'just enough' to get by. If you do that, then just get by is exactly what is going to happen to your income.

Work at home is a great chance for you to have flexibility to do what you want for a business. You might take your own profession and start doing it from home, or you might be looking for a side income to start, that you can eventually turn into a full time income - something like an Internet business. Whatever the case, working from home still requires a full time effort - even if you only work part time to get that full time income.
