It's a very common question that we receive by email - 'How do I download Xbox 360 games?' Let's go over the different options you have so you know how to download games for your Xbox 360 right away.

Option one: Xbox 360 downloads

This is usually the first option people try although it rarely works out for them. There are websites that claim to offer "free xbox 360 downloads" and ask you to install their software in order to start downloading games and movies. It sounds great, but you need to know a couple of things before you rush off to use these websites.

The first and biggest problem you need to be aware of is that these websites are famous for spreading viruses and spyware. The files that are on them are not monitored by anyone and a large percentage of them are viruses that have been added by people that like to causes problems. Unfortunately, there's no way of knowing what you are downloading in advance so you put your computer at risk whenever you click that "download now" button.

The second thing you need to know is that download speeds are often so slow on these sites that it takes forever to get your download. In many cases, it can take days for a download to finish, which isn't worth it.

Worse yet, these files are also often corrupt, which means they don't work after all. Do you really want to sit and take so long (sometimes literally days) to download a game that not only might give you a virus and/or spyware, but might also not work after all? Simply put, we recommend that you stay away from these sites.

For the most part we recommend staying away from these sites. They put your computer at risk and can waste a good chunk of your time.

Second option: Xbox 360 game downloads

If you choose this option, you'll pay just a little bit, but you'll get much better results than you will with the first one. You can download just about any game you want without having to worry about spyware or viruses, download speeds that take forever, or files that don't work after all once you get them.

Xbox 360 downloads have been in demand for a long time, and a couple of business people decided that this trend was worth capitalizing on. They therefore started specialized Xbox 360 download websites. These websites will let you download music, games, movies and more right from your computer when you register as a member. It'll cost you about $50 for a lifetime membership. You'll be billed only once for unlimited downloads, and then you can log into the website so that you can download a new game whenever you want to.

The membership costs less than the price of most games and lets you download as many games as you want, so it's a great option if you want to try out new games without spending a lot of money first.

These websites also have an impressive selection of games and movies. You can find just about anything you might be looking for on these websites, because their libraries are so large. Not only will you get new releases, but you'll also get older games that you might not be able to find anymore in any other venue.

The companies that host these Xbox 360 download sites want to make a profit, so they want to keep you, the customer, happy. They invest money in their software so that you're sure to have fast downloads, up-to-date games, and that every game you download will actually work on your system instead of being corrupt.
