Free articles are also a benefit of article marketing. This technique has produced directories with extensive materials. These free articles can be used to provide interesting and useful content that drives traffic to a website. Other sites, though, provide unique content that they can control to a fine level of precision.

The use of specific key words is important in article marketing. When you use certain words, a web crawler program will find them and lead searchers to the site with those terms on it. The more hits you can gain by using SEO targeting, the more visits to the site containing your article.

Some writers even purposely incorporate words with incorrect spelling or awkward phrases to get people who perform Internet searches for those terms to stumble onto their article. This strategy has its place, but might backfire as other visitors may assume that ungrammatical or misspelled words and phrases indicate a low-quality article that isn't worth reading.

You can make money from article marketing by generating traffic by linking to other sites, selling services and goods to people visiting your site, or being having visitors click on ads that appear on the pages with your articles. You may also be able to make money by selling articles to other people, if those articles fit the needs of potential buyers.

Some site owners get so obsessed with web traffic that they forget about quality. A visitor who doesn't stay around long enough to click a few links will not actually earn you any revenue. Articles that are interesting and useful will keep visitors around longer, and will keep them coming back, too. They also give you a professional image that will provide you with a better return over the long run. Getting quality may cost you a little more, but you will see the rewards, over time.

Those with writing skills can of course create their own copy, but many people prefer ghost written articles commissioned from professional writers. Some recruit individuals and others utilize online sites where articles may be solicited and purchased. These are then placed in directories and sites but will be credited to the purchaser, not the actual author.
