Lately, the fleet seemed to have a Cylon baby boom, with Athena and Helo's baby followed by the revelation that Cally nad Tyrol 's baby is also half-Cyclon. However, fans can be reassured that Six and Tigh's baby will be the first ever full Cylon child. So what does this all imply for the Cylons and for Battlestar Galactica?
The procreation process has become a driving goal for the Cylons since the beginning, leading up to the incarnation of the human egg harvesting camp where Starbuck was previously trapped during her stay in Old Caprica. Moreover, viewers soon learned that Cylons actually need human beings in order to reproduce. Apparently, that fact doesn't hold true today.
The Cylons first believed that love was neccessary for raising a child, but in Tigh and Caprica's case, there wasn't any love going on because Caprica was imagined to be Tigh's deceased wife while they were copulating. Moreover, Tigh may be a later model of Cylons that are capable of reproducing without the love factor.
More recently, the plot has centered on a Cylon child--which one, we do not know yet. However, it seems that the ability for the Cylons to reproduce has now become a force so powerful that it may push forward into being the main driving force, especially if their resurrection hub is destroyed.
Moreover, two of the Final Five Cylons have been now revealed to be fertile gentlemen and this may probably lead to them creating a whole race of pure Cylons. Now that the fleet has a new president, what will happen to the Cylons? What will President Roslin nad Amiral Adama do with the power that they have? Fans watch out for more exciting developments in Battlestar Galactica.
