With the proliferation of knowledge about internet, more and more people are now using blogs as a way of connecting to the world. Blogs have not only become a way of letting the world know that you exist as a person it has also become a great marketing tool for many. To cater to this demand for blogging we have a good number of blog sites that have come up. Of these, there are two major blogsites that offer free blog space for its members and they are blogger and wordpress. Blogger has always had an edge over wordpress as it is more user-friendly and easier to start off for newbie bloggers.

Apart from the popularity of blogger, we also have seen an increase in the need for customized templates for blogger sites. Owning to the roaring welcome that such templates have received, a huge number of such templates are now available from various template designers. While some of these templates have given the quality that you may look for in a template, most do not even provide for the basic need of navigation. It is hence vital to know the ways of selecting the right templates for your blogger blog.

Whenever you are looking to change your blogger templates you need to keep in mind that there is absolutely no need to hurry. There is no use of making frequent changes to your templates. If you want to get loyal visitors then you need to take your time in finding the most suitable templates and then stick with it. In order to get the right template, you need to first of all preview as many templates as possible; otherwise you may get satisfied with some template and wrongly assume that it is the best.

Select the right color for your blogger templates . The color should be related to the theme of your website. The background color should be something that is lighter than the text font used. This can help to improve the overall readability of the blog. Though black is a fashionable color, going for something lighter is always better as it can create an upbeat feel for the blog. Also see that the template you go for makes use of the entire width of the screen, otherwise the blog may appear cramped up. Using a wide template will not only make the blog look less fuzzy but it will also improve the readability and navigation of the blog.

So, whenever you are thinking about changing your blog see that you go for the right one in terms of navigation, color and other aspects like width, height etc. The most important is the theme. For example if your blog is about food, then there is no use of using a blogger template that is blue colored or something with cars and bikes on it. Instead it should be of some natural color with enough images of recipes and food related stuff. Also you should know the purpose of your blog well before selecting the blog template if you want to choose the right one.
