Are you currently in the planning for a loved one's birthday party or celebration? If you said yes, then you ought to consider spending a lot of money on a novelty bakery cake. With a specialty baking novelty cake pan, you can make a festive cake that takes less time to make yourself than putting an order in at the bakery and driving to pick it up!

There are novelty bakeware pans in all sizes and shapes for you to use in your baking. Pick a puppy, bunny, licensed character such as a duck, or a train cake mold to use for a child's cake or first birthday. You can use sports molds such as an MP3 player, backpack, pirate ship, or a baseball or football for a child that is older or an adolescent. You can choose anything that suits to celebrate an adult's birthday.

Use a boxed cake mix or whip up your favorite cake recipe and simply pour the batter in the speciality baking cake mold. Bake as usual, and cool before frosting. Then use icing from a jar or homemade frosting and create various colors with food coloring. Frosting the novelty cake is easy - you can spread with a knife, or use a simple piping bag to pipe stars or rosettes.

One simple idea is to utilize a star tip on the piping bag and use it to pipe close rows of stars. These tips are available at any cake decoration store or craft store. As an example, pipe rows of pink or purple stars on a bunny specialty baking mold. These will look like the fur of the bunny. Then pipe white stars for the tail and ears, and a few more for eyes, paws, mouth, and nose.

The ridges on the cake, produced by the novelty cake pans, will help you know where to place the details. You can add white lines using a plain tip for whiskers! Finish your cake by piping plain white or black lines around various areas of the body as indicated by the ridges on the cake. Frosting sparkles or sprinkles also make a nice final touch.

Since you've chosen a cake that mirrors a friend's or family's style and tastefulness, you cannot help but create tons of grins and laughter when the time comes to blow out the candles. Creating your personal cake can be enjoyable, simple, and cheap.
