Healthy diets will help towards keeping you in shape and a state of well being, but on the other hand we have those eating plans that do not point out the dangers of dieting. Dieting dangers are most commonly found in young teen who feel pressured to lose weight to look like the models seen in magazines. What these teens don't know is that many of the pictures in magazines have been touched up, to cover the models flaws and make them look slimmer. Wanting to look like those models is unhealthy for teens, or any one for that matter.



Keep in mind that a diet in which you take in fewer calories per day than you should, say 800 instead of 2000, is very dangerous. Diets that don't allow you to eat any fats are dangerous as well and should be avoided as much as possible. About 30% of the calories that you take in needs to be fats. A low fat diet will be fine, so long as you stay away from fat free diets.

Diets that have a total ban on certain foods are also very dangerous. If you start a diet that states you can have one type of food but not another, such as not eating bread or pasta, and only eating fruit, you are only hurting your body more. Your body needs nutrients in which you can't find in fruit alone.
