Before you can even work on optimization, you have to get you're

site indexed by the major search engines. Search engines have to find you're website before they can rank it for you're key word. Unfortunately, having a new website is a

massive disadvantage.

The reason for this is that you have no spiders (robots that

go around searching for websites and indexing them) coming to you're site.

It can be months before you're website gets spidered by google. You're website can also be spidered another way; through links on older websites. These websites usually have higher page rank and get spiders visiting all the time. Page rank is the ranking given to a website by google. This is NOT the place on a page that a website is. Let me talk a little about page rank or PR. This is given determined by many factors.

These factors are, the amount of pages of fresh content, the amount of links pointing to the site, the quality of those links, and the quality of the sites linking to those sites. These factors also effect optimization as we will see in later lessons. Back to getting you're site indexed; the easiest and fastest way to get you're site indexed by google in under 24 hours, is by buying a link on a website with pr 5-7.

Many websites allow you to add an ad on there home page for a fee. if the site is pr 5 it may take 48 hours and probably cost you $150 for one month. An ad on a pr 6/7 site will cost $200+, but you will be indexed under 24 hours. Once you're indexed you can remove the ad. Pay for one month to get you're site indexed and lose the ad because at this stage the price of the add is not worth the traffic it will bring. Another method of getting you're website indexed, a product that I use with all my websites is the secret spider generator.

It is a program that allows you to input you're website into there program and

allows it to be spidered automatically. The way the software works is still a mystery

to me. All I know is that it does work to get you're website indexed. This is a huge benefit

to an internet marketer because you don't have to pay the $150-200.00 for each website to get indexed. For $100.00 you can get ALL you're websites indexed automatically.
