Handset Only Mobile Phone
Though CDMA technology has been around for quite sometime now, it is only recently in the past few years that there has been a revolution in the CDMA mobile handset technology. The earlier CDMA handsets were plain and simple, performing only the basic functions of mobile calling and messaging. CDMA technology required a dedicated handset for every connection and thus you could not keep changing your phone every so often. Changing your phone would mean changing your number too and the standard features provided almost gave the phone a feeling of something like a mobile, compact landline connection with a digital display.
With the passage of time the trend has been changing and CDMA handsets are competing big time with the technologically advanced GSM handsets. Mobile phone manufacturers like Nokia, LG Samsung etc are now making multifarious handsets with the latest features and technology for the CDMA segment. From basic low end models to highly sophisticated multi media, camera and business phones the CDMA handsets today have it all.
A Look at Nokia 6275
The Nokia 6275 claims to be the first CDMA phone with a 2MP camera with flash and capabilities for video capture. It also has a music player and integrated FM and supports all the popular music formats thereby making it a well balanced multi media device. The phone has a candy bar design with a large 2inch display.
The memory provided in this phone is of a cool 21MB and it supports a microSD card fro extra storage. The 6275 is also excellent as far as wired and wireless connectivity goes. The phone gives you a port for wired USB connections and both Bluetooth and Infrared for wireless connectivity. It also has a range of games on board for keeping you occupied on the long bus ride.
The phone cannot be called a light weight phone with its all of 105 grams however also cannot be called a bulky mobile. It comes in two color options of black and silver and a four way navigation key is your assistant for scrolling through it.
The Nokia 6275 stands out as a perfect example of the changing trend in CDMA handsets as it is a good balance of features and technology. It gives you a neat entertainment package with a music player, FM and games, takes care of the sudden photographer in you with a good resolution camera capable of not just stills but also video shooting and provides a good range of connectivity features.
It is due to phones like Nokia 6275 that the CDMA technology has gained popularity in the true sense and people are now more open to it than before. With a cool phone like that, why would you anyway want to change your handset again and again anyway?
