I have bought all of these books/systems and have tried all of them. I have been studying these kinds of dating systems for more than five years. My personal ranking based on workability for the average type of guy is as follows: 1. Dating To Relating 2. Double Your Dating 3. Tie - TheMysteryMethod.com and StyleLife.com.
Dating To Relating. Absolutely the BEST product out there. The education you get from this book is tops. No matter what you are looking for you will get the answers here. If you want quick brainless techniques - they are here. If you want sophisticated intellectual understanding of women - it is here. It is not just a bunch of pick up lines, and techniques (although it gives you that too.) It is a complete education about women and what works.
What is unique about this book is that the strategies and ideas presented are SITUATIONAL and will work for all types of guys and they will work on all types of girl that you are interested in. I say this because if you want to purchase a book that will actually work for you, this is it. That is what is most outstanding about this data. None of the other systems we reviewed had total SITUATIONAL information that covers ALL situations.
The author, Mr. L. Rx, does not give you just one robotic technique of how to meet women in bars or clubs, or on the internet, or how to get over on one personality type. He covers it all. From on the street, to bars and clubs, to on the internet, in the store, etc. Mr. L. Rx tell you how to meet women and tells you how to meet different types of women with different types of personalities in different types of situations. None of the other gurus really approach it like this.
Double Your Dating. Double Your Dating is a a great source of data for men. Besides the original product David DeAngelo now has tons of other products to help men overcome their "wussiness" with women. He also has video and DVDs which are visual in addition to his written products.
I personally bought his original product and the Dating Guru Interview series. These are awesome products. I've still subscribe to the Guru Series. I think David's stuff is a perfect complement to Mr. l. Rx's system and I would recommend to anyone who has the ability to buy more than one system to get this product in addition to Dating To Relating above.
The reason for this is that Dating To Relating helps you develop your own techniques and Double Your Dating gives you a lot of different viewpoints to help stir your creative ideas to help you develop your own techniques.
The reason I rate David as number two is he hasn't quite put it all together as well as Mr. L. Rx. He does give a lot of truth in his tons of data, but in the end he focuses on one strategy and doesn't quite get the situational varied approach of Mr. L. Rx. So as I see it and have experienced it, David's information will work for some guys, but it will leave a lot of guys - most guys in fact - high and ry - Mr. L. Rx's system is a system that will work for ALL guys and ALL types of girls.
Mystery Method and Style Life/The Game/Neil Strauss. I'm combining them here as they are more or less coming from the same technique. Neil was a student of Mystery as he describes in "The Game."
Now these are not my top recommendations, but out of the 50 or so Gurus on the internet they are definitely at the top. In conjunction with the above two products - "Dating To Relating" and "Double Your Dating" they can have decent value. On their own, I would not recommend them for the common guy. Their techniques definitely work, but they only work on a narrow band of what I would label shallow women.
Mystery and Neil Strauss's techniques are very powerful and work, but the end product is you might not like the kind of girls you get as a result of this, and you might not like who you are being as you do this. Now, there is not anything at all wrong with being shallow, as sometimes you just want to get laid. But sometimes you want more than that. You are NOT going to get the MORE part from these techniques (unless you just derive it on your own from the sheer volume of experience.)
Plus a major drawback is that a lot of their techniques are just memorized lines. Even Neil Strauss has admitted that "The Game is changing." So many guys have learned his and Mystery's pick up lines and routines that women have heard them before and recognize them and men are getting busted for using them.
There are even gurus on the internet who took Mystery's training and were successful at it, but gave it up and don't practice it anymore. I think that says a lot about the approach, it works but it is not something that guys are totally comfortable with.
The value of these materials is that if you are really interested in being a "player" as your life's ambition, there is value in getting this information in conjunction with Mr. L. Rx's data.
Mr. L. Rx actually gives you more tools to be a player with, but Mystery gives you more detailed information on this one technique with this one "type" of woman than Mr. L. Rx. Mr. L. Rx gives you more tools to create "pick up" technique with, but Mystery and Neil give you a lot more data that you can create with once you get and understand Mr. L. Rx's tools.
So, if you are the kind of guy like me who is very interested in being very skilled at this "meeting women" stuff, then I would say these materials (The Mystery Method and "The Game") are also a MUST for your library in addition to "Dating To Relating" and "Double Your Dating.
How Pick Up Women
Now, I've got to admit, I've always been the kind of guy who prefers the route of least exertion. Given the choice between a night on the sofa and an hour at the gym, I'll take the remote control, please.
But all that changed when I realised that if I wanted some female company on my sofa, an hour at the gym was one of the best ways to achieve my goal.
Gyms are incredibly sociable places. They're packed full of people keen to share and receive good advice, chat while they wait for an exercise class, or grab a quick smoothie when they've finished their work out. Whether you're looking for friends, fun or romance, there are few quicker ways of getting to know girls than regular trips to the gym.
So, how do you go about it?
Well, the main thing to remember is that you're actually there to exercise. I'm serious. And there are three very good reasons why this is so:
Firstly, tone up those abs a bit and you'll soon find yourself looking and feeling a whole lot better. Good news for you, and much more attractive to her.
Secondly, most gyms have a swarm of sleazy guys who never do any exercise. Slack off too much and the girls will assume you're only there to ogle them which doesn't do much for your chances!
And thirdly, if you know what you're doing, you can strike up a conversation by offering a girl good advice.
Okay, so you've familiarized yourself with the running machines and you know your way to the pool - what now?
Bear in mind that the gym is not a pick up joint. Yes, loads of the women are single, but they're not there to get chatted up - they're there to keep themselves fit. If they catch you drooling at them in the mirror they're going to steer well clear.
Forget about finding a date for the moment, and think about making new friends. Greet the staff with a smile, chat to other guys while you wait for the weights, make pleasant conversation with anyone who offers; get yourself known as a really decent guy, and before you know it people will be clamouring to set you up on blind dates with their mates.
Keep yourself presentable. You're going to get sweaty, there's no avoiding that, but make sure you deodorise beforehand and shower thoroughly afterwards. No matter how proud you are of your new pecs, steer clear of the skin tight clothes, and stick to appropriate gym gear.
When you do talk to cute girls, start off slowly. Say hi if you're on the machine next to them. Offer advice if they need it, but move away once it's taken. If you're getting more water, offer to fetch for them, too. But remember that they're there to work out, so don't keep distracting them unless it's clear that they want you to.
Remember, women like nice guys. You're smart, you're considerate, you've got a cute smile. Take things slowly, be patient, be polite and before you know it you'll find yourself sitting in the juice bar (well, it is a gym!) getting to know a girl better over a post work out pineapple smoothie.
