Here are some ways to to start without any equipment.
1. Walking/Jogging
It's always great to get out and enjoy the scenery and fresh air, but rainy days are always a concern. Consider these ideas - If you've got stairs at the house, try going up and down them for 15 minutes. This will tone up your legs and buttocks while getting some light impact cardio aerobic work as a bonus. No stairs? jog in place - It's good for improving heart health. You can even do it while catching your regular TV shows or listening to your favorite tunes. This would require some decent shoes to help reduce stress on your joints, but otherwise no equipment is needed.
2. Free Squat
This is great for for your legs and buttocks. If you have difficulty balancing, try squatting with a foot stool to keep from toppling backward or try holding your arms in front of you for maintaining balance.
3. Jumping Jacks
This should be fun because most of us did these during school or as kids having fun.
More importantly, a few hundred of these will surely make your heart and lungs work. They can be used as a warmup, or they can be done as active rest between sets of squats.
4. Pushups
The pushup a great upper body exercise that uses the shoulders, chest, and triceps muscles. These may be tough for you to do, so if needed you can try them on your knees rather than full push ups. As you get stronger then use full push ups.
5. Ab Crunches
Ab crunches are excellent to tone your core. Ab crunches are a better choice than sit ups because they cause less stress on your back. Do not pull forward on your neck, instead cross your arms over your chest or just keep your hands resting very lightly on the head.
Consider these suggestions about getting in an improved workout routine at your house with only minimal cost or room required, there are 2 ideas you should consider...
Jumping Rope
Costing under 20 bucks, this is a deal. You'll get tough cardio workout in only about 10 min.
Adjusting Dumbbells
These can run anywhere from 25 dollars for some used, all the way to $250 for some the more higher end dumbbells. The range of exercises you can do with a set of these is truly unlimited, yet they take up virtually no space.
How To Work Out At Home
As more and more people begin to work at home it has become increasingly obvious that being productive at home is not always as easy as being productive at the office. This is especially true with someone that maintains their own business, such as an Internet marketing business. If you work at home on your Internet business, or aspire to work full-time at home, then here are some tips to help you to keep yourself productive.
The first thing that you need to do is to establish boundaries. It is often too easy to get up from the computer and take care of a household task. This could be anything from vacuuming or washing dishes to larger jobs such as redecorating or painting a room. If you find that you have a difficult time maintaining your focus on your Internet business because of distractions around you in the home then you need to learn to set some boundaries. If you were working outside of the home for eight hours a day you would not be able to take care of these things. You just have to tell yourself that during the time that you are working you will not be able to do any of these things and make sure that others in your home are aware of this as well.
You should also establish a working area in your home that is as separate as possible from the rest of the house. The saying is "out of sight, out of mind" and this could almost be your motto when choosing an area in which to work at home. By isolating yourself from the rest of the household when you're at work, you will be less likely to be distracted by the everyday happenings at your house.
Something that most successful businesspeople have a common is that they make lists. If you want to be more productive when you work at home then you should start every day with a list of the task that are to be done. Do not end your day until that list is complete. If you find that there is something that is taking up your time, such as research or reading at the forums, then hold off on doing this at all until your list is complete. You can then do the things that you enjoy in the time remaining after the day's tasks are finished.
Although it can be difficult to be as productive when you are working at home it certainly is not impossible. With some careful planning, and a strong desire to succeed, you will certainly be able to get done as much, if not more, than you could at the office.
