Here's the deal. There are WAY too many people out there trying to make money online without actually investing in a quality program, training, or other type of system. People read enough sales pitches and ‘secrets' to online business success and think they can do it on their own. The hard part is that you really can't do it alone. That's not how it works. That's why these people offer you their inside information and business programs. Here are five common mistakes and how to avoid making a fool of yourself in the process.

1. Too much, too fast. Some people just glance at the programs that they purchase and try and make their own way by guessing at what to do next rather than spending the time to go through the whole program. This might seem like a faster way to make cash. Too bad that it'll actually set you back. The program is there for a reason. Use it.

2. Being naive. Too many people just assume that when someone tells them that they can make a lot of money online with easy work, that they're telling the truth. Besides, the testimonials from other customers are all positive, right? Guess what? Those testimonials can be written by anyone. I know people who actually get paid to write marketing materials like that. Take everything with a grain of salt.

3. Assuming that all business opportunities are scams. This is not a conspiracy, but many people assume that since there are some bad businesses online, all of them are bad. I have to tell you how important it is for you to realize that this ISN'T the case. There are legitimate opportunities. You just have to find them.

4. Listening to unreliable sources. Do your homework. People are human, and any businessman is taught to do whatever it takes to get the job done, including lying. Don't believe everything that you hear. Enough said.

5. Thinking that they can get something for nothing. If you want to make money through a business, you have to create that business or pay for the rights to use the concepts. It's as simple as that. Expect to have to pay for business opportunities, because anyone who gives away their business secrets probably doesn't have any real secrets to give away.
