Thank You For Job Interview

    View:
Stay calm and follow these steps:

-Get your interview clothes organized.

-Refresh your technical skills.

-Make copies of your resume and references

-Find the directions to the interview site.

A last minute interview call can arise from any of the following sources:

-Internal job openings - If you are good at your current job and your boss also appreciates you, then don't be surprised if you get a sudden job interview from your current employer. Your boss might have recommended you, so be ready to present and showcase your skills.

-Recruiting agency - You can expect a call from a recruiting agency if you are looking for a position with more responsibility in another company. So try to say appropriate things to win the job or you might just miss the chance.

-Through a colleague - Your colleagues may find you quite enterprising and suitable for a job that they applied for but were rejected. So don't be surprised if you get a call from that company. Always try to prepare yourself by seeking help from your colleague.

If you want to grow in your career, then you should always be prepared to handle different situations. Interview skills include the confidence to handle unexpected job interviews. You can try and polish your skills by answering some questions:

-State your value in 30 seconds - Value proposals are meant to captivate the listener. So try to practice your take on your skills, proficiency and industry knowledge in 30 seconds. If you are able to offer a summary within this time, then you can probably expect to land the job. A short and precise value proposition can win you a new position.

-List your top five achievements - List your top achievements to enable the prospective employer to think about your potential contributions to the organization. Achievements give the employer a clear picture as to what you can do for the company and also provide reason to keep your information on file.

-Prepare yourself for the interview - Prepare yourself for the most obvious questions like "If you are doing well in your present job then why do you want to change?" Don't ever sweat or squirm, as a good employer will be quick to see that you are losing confidence. Think about frequently asked questions and prepare yourself well.

-Understand the interviewer's motivation- Try and judge your interviewer's purpose for asking specific questions and answer appropriately. You need to judge what the interviewer is looking for in a suitable candidate. Conduct thorough research and understand the company's needs, before you target your answers.

Even though you may have a short amount of time to prepare for an unexpected job interview, it can be done. Follow the tips above and your next interview will be a breeze!
Thank You For Job Interview
It is always advisable to wear a suit and dress conservatively for a job interview, unless you are interviewing in a creative field where casual dress is more appropriate. Women can wear a dress suit that is a combination of a skirt and a jacket and low heels. Men should wear a suit and tie with dress shoes. You simply cannot go wrong with this type of combination.

If you do not own a suit and do not have the money to purchase one, perhaps you can get by with something that is already in your closet. A woman can wear a conservative dress or a skirt and blouse, as long as the skirt is not a mini skirt and not leather. The blouse should be something simple and not loud colored. Black and white is always a good combination and can make your wardrobe stretch. Women will want to wear low heeled pumps, if possible. Open toed, high heeled strappy sandals are for going out in the evening, not for work. You should wear a bit of heel to look more presentable, even if you are tall.

A man can get by with a pair of dress slacks, dress shirt and tie if he does not have a suit. Shoes should be proper dress shoes and conservative. Shoes should also be polished, clean and not contain any holes. People notice your shoes more often than you think, so it is important to make sure that you wear good shoes to your job interview to make a good first impression.

If you do not own any dress clothes at all that would fit into a professional work environment, and do not have the money to buy new things, consider going to a second hand shop or thrift store and pick up items there. They can be laundered or cleaned at the dry cleaners within a day and you will look just as if you purchased the items new.

Hair should be combed conservatively and for women, long hair pulled back or twisted into a chignon at the back. This looks very professional as you do not want to be noticed for your good looks but for your qualifications. Women should also be sure to wear nylon stockings with their dress, even in the summer.

Although many offices are adopting a casual business look atmosphere, the job interview is one place where you do not want to look casual. This is your one opportunity to shine, ask questions and make sure that you are perceived as a professional who has respect for the company for which he or she is interviewing. Dressing for success during your job interview is just as important as your resume. This will demonstrate to the employer that you are a serious person who is to be taken seriously. Your prospective employer already knows about your qualifications from your resume. The interview is your chance to sell him or her on the opportunity to hire you.
