Can you imagine explaining a 1200 calorie diet to your great-grandparents? Their eyes would roll back in their heads and they would certainly turn in their graves if they knew how today's society is enslaved to the diet industry. Today experts seem to have all the answers, there is a pill for everything, and even a perfect diet for every blood type. We are inundated with things we "should" eat and "should not" eat. No wonder some people feel guilty just drooling over dessert. Heaven forbid you stare at it too long, you might actually gain an ounce just lusting after its yummyness. It has become truly ludicrous.
One of society's biggest disease problems comes from stress. Our minds are programmed and hypnotized with information about things we should and should not do. No wonder do we suffer from heart problems, strokes or even get a disease that didn't exist a couple of decades ago.
Why have we let this happen to us as a society? What's the benefit to us for the diet industry to have such a tight grip on us? And why have we willingly become their slaves?
We live in amazing bodies that were originally designed to be healthy transportation vehicles for us; we are meant to enjoy our bodies and to love the foods we eat. Slowly but surely over the past few decades our bodies somehow have turned out to be our enemies that we somehow need to mold, reshape and get cut apart and put back together better than before. This article is all about you regaining your freedom and to feel gratitude for the vehicle you live in so it can do its job.
These 4 starter points can help:
1.Stop looking for answers "out there:" No matter what you're looking for, you already have all the answers. If you have been diagnosed with a disease, ask your Higher Self for the reasons. You manifested the disease, you allowed it to happen, ask your Higher Self why you manifested whatever it is you're experiencing and how to heal yourself. Remember that we are never given more than we can handle, and when it seems like we are given too much, there is always a way out. Seek the answer and you will find it.
2.Meditation and breath work: I can't stress the important of spending time alone with your Self in silence. Start your time alone by breathing with intention. Watch your breathing throughout your day and take deeps breaths throughout your day. Meditation is hard for most people because they feel they're not doing anything. That's exactly the point; we are human beings, not human doings. And peace and happiness come from a state of being.
3.Use your body: Your body was designed to be moved around so you can accomplish whatever you have come to accomplish. In Europe the average person walks 2 miles a day, most of which is to and from work, going grocery shopping and so on. In the US we hardly walk 100 yards a day because most people have cars and are just plain too lazy and too busy otherwise. Use your body, it's why you have created it in the first place. If walking to and from work is too far or too inconvenient, get a gym membership. Get your body moving.
4.Take care of your body, learn to love it, all of it: So many people dislike or even hate their bodies, it is truly a sad thing. If the president of the United were to make a public broadcast that he hated the people of the United States we would be at instant war. And yet we do the same to the 70 trillion living cells that make up our bodies. How can you expect those 70 trillion living cells to cooperate with each other and be at peace with each other when all they hear is how "ugly" they are and how dysfunctional they are!? Learn to speak nice things to your body, perhaps by starting to be grateful for the things that do work and the things that do look pretty. Start small, then expand. You will feel all 70 trillion living cells start to cooperate and be at peace amongst each other, working together for the greater good, which is to heal your body and to help you have a vehicle that is the ultimate prototype that it is.
