It doesn't have anything to do with what you eat, rather what you see and hear.
What is it?
The "media diet".
You avoid the media - including radio, television and newspapers.
Have you noticed when you watch, read or listen to the news, it's almost all negative? With a constant input of negativity, it's more difficult to have a positive outlook, to reach your health and life goals, and enjoy your life. Nothing supresses your immune system more than bad news and negativity.
And when you're watching television programs, you're watching others enjoying their lives (or ruining them) while they make a great living at it! Usually, these actors are attractive, wealthy and healthy looking.
Why spend your life listening to all the negative things going on in the world and watching others enjoy their lives? Make your own life the best ever!
You might ask, how will I find out what's happening in the world without getting the news? Well, you'd be surprised how little it all means to your personally. Let me ask you to try this. Don't watch or read the news for 1 week. Then don't watch television for a week. Then try it for a month and see how your life has changed. What do you have to lose other than gaining more time?
Just imagine what you could do with an extra 10-15 hours a week:
-You can start an exercise and activity program to lose weight and increase your health.
-You can read on a topic of your interest.
-You can spend more time with your family.
-You can learn a new skill
-You can become more valuable to your employer and increase your income
-You can start or get back to a hobby.
-You can start a new business.
-You can learn how to overcome a health challenge
-You can learn how to prepare healthy meals
-You can become an expert at something you enjoy.
-You can volunteer and help others.
A recent study of the habits of members of the National Weight Control Registry ? a group of about 5,000 people who have lost an average of 73 pounds and kept off at least 30 of them for more than six years ? found that most watch fewer than 10 hours of TV a week.
Members of the Weight Control Registry that increased TV viewing habits were more likely to gain weight.
I've been on the media diet for just under a year now and it's made a significant impact on my life. Sure, I watch a tv program or movie a few times a month just for fun. With the extra time (some studies report that American families watch television over 52 hours a week) I've been able to reach more goals, make new and enhance existing relationships, help others more often and better my health.
You're Awesome and YOU can do it!
The Diet That Works
The Zone diet is a weight loss program that pays close attention to calories and physical exercise to achieve weight loss. It is a lifestyle-changing diet program to help people shed weight and get in better shape. The main part of this diet plan is the set of eating guidelines developed by the doctor Barry Sears.
The scientific theory behind the diet looks at the influence of carbohydrates on the body's insulin levels. Eating too many carbohydrates causes the body's blood sugar levels to rise sharply, which prompts the body to release insulin, a hormone that reduces blood sugar levels by causing the sugar to be stored as fat. It is believed that by consuming the right foods, blood sugar levels can be controlled to keep insulin levels in "the zone," a range where the body is supposed to burn fat more efficiently and stop holding onto excessive fat.
The program balances carbohydrate and protein consumption in a 3:4 ratio, meaning 30% of your calories will come from protein and 40% from carbohydrates (another 30% typically comes from fat). It is important to keep track of calories on the Zone diet, with most meals under five hundred calories each and snacks being no more than one hundred calories each.
Under the program, you eat five times a day (three meals and two snacks), never going more than five hours without eating. If you get eight hours of sleep per night, this means eating breakfast within one hour of getting out of bed, eating lunch within five hours after breakfast, a snack within five hours after lunch, dinner within two to three hours of your snack, and another snack right before bedtime.
Most of the foods eaten on the Zone plan include lean meats, such as fish or chicken and other healthy sources of protein, lots of fruits and vegetables, and a limited amount of carbohydrates. Sugar, potatoes, rice, cereals, and breads are the types of carb rich foods that dieters should avoid eating, but can eat occasionally. Dieters must also try not to eat pre-packaged foods and food with a high sodium content.
Exercise is another fundamental part of the Zone diet. The plan recommends moderate intensity exercise for thirty minutes a day, six days every week. Exercise is supposed to increase the effectiveness of the Zone program. Other enhancements to the diet include taking vitamins and nutritional supplements.
The Zone plan is perfect for many people trying to lose weight, but it requires a lot of dedication. The reason why this diet and most other diet plans do not seem to work is because many dieters quit before they are able to see results. Many people struggle to stay on any type of diet because of cravings, out-of-control appetites or eating habits, or a simple lack the motivation to lose weight. Hypnosis is the solution for solving these problems and providing the motivation to stick to a diet program like the Zone program.
Hypnosis is frequently used with dieting because it does many things to increase the effectiveness and success rate of weight loss plans. One thing that hypnosis programs do is help promote positive thinking, especially to counter negative thoughts. Hypnosis is a powerful relaxation tool as well, helping us cope with our stressful emotions and relieve tension. As a relaxation tool, it calms the mind, helps you develop strategies to cope with stress, and boosts your self-confidence to motivate you to shed weight.
Weight loss hypnotherapy can also be used to directly treat the mental obstacles that keep people from losing weight. Take for instance dieters who can't curb their food cravings and appetite because they struggle with "emotional eating." People who experience emotional eating compulsively eat in response to their emotions, such as when they are angry or sad. Hypnosis can be used to break the bonds in our unconscious minds between eating and our emotions. This way, people do not have to struggle with overeating and are able to stick to complex weight loss programs such as the Zone diet.
Motivational hypnosis weight loss CDs have become a popular and effective technique to use with weight loss programs because motivation is integral to success for most dieters. A good hypnosis CD program works by tapping into the power of the unconscious mind to naturally train our thoughts on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. These programs help dieters remember their reasons for wanting to lose weight and exercise so dieters naturally feel motivated to stay with their weight loss plan.
Hypnotherapy is an effective motivational tool that works to help you "stay in the zone," exercise, and experience natural appetite suppression without pills. Through hypnosis, we can think more positively and focus on having better health.
