The FIFA Women's World Cup 2007 will be held in China from September 10th through September 30th. 16 nations will participate in the Women's World Cup finals. The defending Champion is Germany and they are a threat to win again this year along with the United States who won in 1991 and 1999. The U.S. is in the ?Group of Death? along with North Korea and Sweden. All three teams are in the Top 5 in the world. The 16-team tournament, which starts on Monday, is being held at five stadiums in China. They are in Shanghai, Wuhan, Chengdu, Hangzhou and Tianjin. The final is on September 30 in Shanghai.

World Cup betting odds have the United States as one of the favorites to win the title along with Germany, Brazil, Sweden, Norway and England. No team has ever successfully defended a Women's World Cup title.
