Hard water some call it the white devil no pun intended but in fact this deposit is nothing more than a film left by calcium or any other constituent in the water that is unable to evaporate due to its weight restrictions. Still many people do not understand where this calcium or etc. comes from. But its origin is in fact derived from wherever your actual source of water was essentially ?bottled? from ie its source.



The source of water essentially is key when understanding your water in your pool or pond. Tile is the end result or of semi-stagnant water. This act is in fact a reaction from the miniscule amount of oxygen found in between the waterline on the tile a millimeter below the surface of the water and the actual tile surface that is causing said chemical reaction to occur.

How do we get rid of it you ask well two ways: Number one scrub your tile weekly, or have your pool professional scrub once weekly. They may charge you $5-$20 more a month but all in all it's worth it. If you decide against such recommendation the long term cost is much greater (average tile sand blasting is $600 a year or per/treatment)
