There is a huge difference between the traditional and modern format of business. Still, the core that means the competition in business hasn't been changed in both the online and the traditional business. In order to survive the intense competition you have to follow certain advanced ways no matter which format of business you like to follow. The online business has been involved in complex battles of technology. Every now and then some new technology is invented in order to make this business more smooth and easy for customers as well as for the merchants. So in order to ensure that you are not in the losing side you need to have an eagle's eye and penchant for technology.

-The payment option is one such important thing for the survival of your online business. You just can not relax with a single option of payment for your clients. It would be better to provide as many as options for the clients. In case of online business, a single payment mode for the customers could eventually lead to the loss of potential customers as they might not prefer that type option or else they don't have. You only have access to only a certain category of customers who are happy with your payment option. The payment options could be the paypal, cheque and sometimes even cash lest your customer is living near by you. However, for most customers the number one choice is payment through paypal. For your customers you can open a savings account where they could deposit their payment.

-For a successful online business, your website must be easy and convenient for your customer's to use. Though it is natural to have a professional looking website, it should not be stiff while using. If it is possible, do not force customers to go through registration process by not having a registration form. You can make your customers visit to your site more interesting by adding interactive features in the webpage such as live chats, message books and guest books.

-In your online business site you should add navigation feature. You must limit the click-through to the maximum of two, particularly if it is your product page. This is to ensure that a prospective customer must not go back due to the various pages he has to look before knowing the product you actually selling. For the convenience of the customer you must add a home button in every page of your website. This will help them not to lose their way among several pages. You have to remember that your website must cater the needs of your customer.
