It is good for an individual to be single for a while, in order to introspect and feel complete without being emotionally dependant on someone. If you have been trying to find a partner but have been unable to do so, the following are a few mistakes that you could be making that are keeping you single. If you are guilty of any of the following; stop yourself and correct your thoughts and/or behavior.



Way of Thinking

What you think is often what you believe, so if you have made yourself believe that you can’t find love, you probably won’t. This kind of an attitude usually is due to relationships gone bad in the past or low self-esteem. Think optimistically about love and convince yourself that you are capable of both giving and receiving love.

Break Precedents

Another mistake that could be keeping you single is that you have a mindset of the ideal man or woman and want to date someone who fits the profile only. While having an inclination is not a bad idea, if you label ‘bad’ kinds, you will continue to jump in and out of bad relationships with people, because you date only a certain type of person.

Love not moderation

Being in love with someone and being attracted to someone are two different concepts, if you don’t understand the difference; you will end up chasing any man or woman away from you because people look for a partner and not a sad story. If you are with someone, there needs to be a balance of emotional give and take. If you are the type that gets over possessive or needs to be with their partner 24/7, you might be repelling people more than attracting them. So, if this is the case, change now.

High Run

If you are high strung make a point to perform actions that will calm you down. If you are nervous and easily get upset your partner might feel you are too high preservation on an emotional level. Yes, everybody have a tendency to feel anxious and nervous rarely but if it is a chronic condition, get it treated.

Just Difficult

You need to relent if you want to play the game. Don’t be too firm about your stand on emotional and professional issues. Like other interactions in your life, you must learn to reach middle ground when you are passionately involved with someone. If you always want to take the lead and not make the slightest modification, your partner might just look for someone who will.
