We all need holidays to break away from the monotony of our daily routines. They help us to relax, rejuvenate and spend time with our loved ones. If you are looking for a vacation that helps you unwind and also enjoy the beauty of nature, canoeing vacations are a good choice. Canoeing is sailing in a small narrow boat, which is usually human powered, using paddles. Nowadays, canoes are also powered by small gas or electric motors.

Canoeing vacations are a wonderful way to spend time with your family or friends. You can canoe at leisure or even canoe race with other boats. Canoeing at leisure provides you a great opportunity to enjoy the serene surroundings and appreciate the beauty of nature. The waters create an incredible habitat for many different species of flora and fauna. On a river canoeing trip, you can bird watch, look at different exotic flora species, swim, snorkel, and fish or simply enjoy lazily paddling through the rivers.

Canoeing excursions are an ideal family holiday. Children, youngsters and adults can all enjoy these wonderful vacations. Whether you wish to lazily paddle in the waterways and enjoy the natural beauty of the place or want to enjoy thrilling adventure, canoeing trips are the perfect holiday choice.

A typical day can last anywhere from 2 to 8 hours depending on what you wish to explore. For amateur canoeists, canoe trips can be organized around a pond or down a slow stream. While those who have better canoeing skills can opt for canoeing in lakes, mountain streams or seawaters. Depending on your adventure appetite and skill level, you can choose between river canoeing, ocean kayaking or white water kayaking trips.
