On April 10, 2006, I was labeled a high cholesterol patient. I have never been sick besides colds and sniffles. The doctor named everything I loved. Dairy and pasta. They were now foods I had to limit. I was very upset. It took me awhile to accept this. I felt I couldn't eat anything. I went into a slight depression over food.
In June, we spent most of the month in Florida with family. It was fantastic. I didn't think of anything but playing with our girls' and seeing the sights. When we came back I had an appointment to go back and get rechecked. I cancelled it and went on a diet.
I did my best in July but I didn't lose weight so I didn't want to get rechecked since I knew it would be high. I was afraid.
In August, I found a website that helped me figure out what I was doing wrong. The first two weeks, I plugged in what I ate and seen how many calories in fat, carbs, protein and total calories. I was amazed. Things I thought I was doing right were wrong. But what I really like is I don't have to make a dinner for me and then a dinner for the family. I can eat everything and anything. Another great point, I haven't had to think of what to make for dinner. The website tells me…I just have to cook. I love it.
I also started taking 1500 mg of grape seed and grape skin with 2500 mg of phytosterol and omega-3's. I've found vitamins that grow super hybrid grapes just for these pills which they have a patent on this system. One pill is equal to over 200 supper hybrid grapes. Grapes contain antioxidants that help blood vessels stay healthy and promote healthy blood platelet activity. While omega-3's helps safely maintain healthy triglyceride levels. Phytosterols work best when coupled with omega-3's, all helping to lower my cholesterol.
On 9/19/06, I had my cholesterol checked again. I received the results the other day. It went down 55 points. I am so excited!
To recap: Since August (a little over a month and a half) I've aggressively used a website to help what I consume and I taken my grapeseed/skin/omega-3/phytosterols everyday. I've lowered my cholesterol 55 points with simple changes.
