Laser Spine Surgery Evaluations is a critical step that should be taken before deciding to undergo the procedure. Just like any other Evaluation system or procedure the process should start with gathering basic information. We first attempt to understand what a laser is? It's an acronym for 'Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiations'.

The act of performing a surgical procedure is called surgery. The laser beam replaces the scalpel that is used in ordinary surgery using a laser scalpel which is nothing but a concentrated beam of light with energy enough to cut tissue. Laser surgeries fall under the medical category of being minimally invasive surgeries. Patients who suffer from acute spinal pain or back pain need to have spinal surgeries performed on them. Spinal surgeries can be performed either as open back or traditional surgeries and minimally invasive surgeries employing Laser.

MISS is an acronym for 'Minimally Invasive Spinal Surgery'. In MISS patients suffer far less trauma and can resume their normal activities much faster. Open back or conventional surgical procedures require large incisions, more anesthesias, and more operation time and more hospitalization time. Recuperation time and post operative care needed in MISS are far lesser compared to normal surgeries.

Laser surgeries require a local anesthesia or a mild sedation unlike in comparison conventional surgeries that require a patient have generalized anesthesia and be hospitalized. Up to the present laser surgeries were considered less feasible and regarded as unviable, now because of its advantages and benefit its gaining tremendous popularity. Arthritis, narrowing of spine, large disc protrusion and bone spikes digging into nerves can also be addressed by laser spine surgeries.

Back pain or spinal pain can be attributed to several reasons. The symptoms of back pain are universal among all patients. Overall health can be destroyed by chronic back pain or incessant pain of a normal person. It can also affect his / her temper and personality.

After the cause of the pain is determined surgical procedures are performed on the patient to provide relief from the pain in the lower back, upper back, left and right arms, neck and legs. Laser technology is used to make accurate and precise incisions to access the affected area. Small surgical incisions are made that prevent the loss of blood. Hence therefore it reduces the pain and speeds up recovery time.
