To pursue a career that teens really want, the desire should be present first and foremost because there's no use pushing something that doesn't appeal to one's taste. That desire can be achieved if teens have the right resources such as reliable information from their teachers and parents. Advices from loved ones can go far as long as teens will follow it. In the end, it's the teens that have the final say on what they should do with their lives.

For example, if the teenager has the aptitude for math, then it is advisable to join the Math Club where he or she can interact with those who are adept with the subject as well. This act promotes strengthening of the skills in Math and at the same time, developing social skills. It really pays to know someone. Who knows, a fellow Math club member could be the future CEO of a big company.
