1.Many upper-management, specifically, executive management positions, include the use of a company car, particularly those directly working for an automotive manufacturer or closely related to the industry. In these instances, it's the perfect way to increase their advertising as more of their cars are seen on the road. Another reason that is that, just as in some communities ?keeping up with the Jones? is a means of determining resident status in the neighborhood, members of the upper-Escalon of corporations are provided with company vehicles because they also need to ?keep up appearances?. A newer or luxury car represents success and in business, that's very important, especially in regard to their competitors.
2.Jobs that require an employee to travel frequently often times provide the use of a company car. Corporations realize that it's not entirely fair to expect an employee who has to travel on regular basis, such as in the case of a sales or marketing position, to have to utilize their own vehicle. The company acknowledges the fact that these types of employees are required to travel frequently as part of their job and shouldn't have to bear the expense of maintenance and or fuel costs, in addition to wear on their personal vehicle, so they provide the individual with the use of a ?company? car.
3.Car dealerships usually provide their salesmen with the use of a company car. Along the same lines of an auto-industry executive, this is an excellent way for the dealership to advertise their vehicles and hopefully attract new customers. Additionally, if a salesperson is driving and is happy with the performance of the particular car they've been given to utilize, they'll have an advantage and the added benefit of first-hand knowledge about the vehicle when it comes time to make a sale.
4.Messengers and the sometimes affectionately referred to ?gophers? in a business environment are usually given use of a company vehicle, though mainly only during work-hours. These employees have to deliver and pick packages and drop off projects at printing, customer and other facilities in addition to any other off-site tasks the company requests of them such as running out for office supplies, food, etc.
5.A personal assistant who works directly for one individual whether in an office or private environment will be given the use of a company car because these types of positions require extensive traveling time on behalf of the employer's personal, as well as business, needs.
6.Federal and other-high ranking officials in the securities field are often times provided with a company vehicle because many of their duties require traveling to other counties, towns and even states.
7.Some miscellaneous service and labor positions such as construction, landscaping, plumbing companies, etc. give their employees the use of a company vehicle because there is usually a need to get a very early start, respond to emergency calls and also in lieu of the need to travel extensively to different locals on a regular basis as part of the business? services.
Keep in mind that if you are applying for a position that requires travel, whether frequent or infrequent, you can always try to negotiate for a company car during the interview process.
Get A Free Car
I too was very skeptical when I read this advertisement on an internet website. However at the time my lack of finances (I had just got out of college) and simple curiosity, led me to invest in this program since I desperately required a vehicle. Surprise Surprise, 2 months I had a new Nissan for Free!
'How is this possible ?' You will be asking yourself.
Well, once I explain the concept you will realize that this is not such a far fetched idea after all. Its simply a marketing tool. Imagine, a multi-national company wants to invest in a billboard in a prime location in the hub of an busy city. This must them costs thousands of dollars each year for every single board. Moreover, this form of marketing is very static and once people get used to this advert they simply don`t take notice of it anymore since it comes second nature to the space itself.
Now imagine, if the same company were to acquire a vehicle, wrap it up with their own logos and colorful adverts and lend the car to Mr.X who lives and works in the city. Mr.X gets to use the car for free, for say a period of say 3 years - all he has to pay for is fuel and insurance (many times companies may also pay for maintenance and cleaning). Mr.X is happy because he has a brand new free car, and the company is happy since they have a mobile billboard which cries out for attention everywhere Mr.X goes ! What is more after 3 years Mr.X applies for a new car and the company sells off the car on the second had market hence recuperating part of their expenses. This definitely is a Win Win situation and is much more effective arvertising. Such a concept is generally known as 'wrapped vehicles advertising'.
'What is the catch?' you may ask.
Well given the fact that the company are giving away the car as an advertisement, do not expect such advertisements to be discreet small logos. they actually are quite loud and are intended to everybody`s attention. You are not allowed to remove these since at all times the car remains the property of the company. I personally think that the car actually looks quite cool and distinct. Moreover, it is a very small price to pay considering I got a FREE vehicle.
In addition, other companies may pay you up to $500 a month to simply stick on Ads on your existing vehicle. My buddy Ray is planning of sticking on a couple of ads on his new car, and once he pays it off his car loan (in a year or so), he will remove these. This way he would be owning the car which actually paid for itself . ever heard of that!
'Where does one start and how does it work ?'
Once I subscribed to the website register, I was given access to companies all over the world that offer this amazing service. All I required to get access to our member area is only a one-time fee of $25. I then applied to the company that best fits the car of my choice. The best way is to try a couple of companies so as to get a car as fast as possible, don't be too choosy. You can always get another better car later.
'Why did I need to apply subscribe?'
Before actually subscribing I tried to find this service for free. I must have spent about a whole week researching the internet yet came up with nothing. This is a very new business, and companies offering these cars have very limited spaces which they do not advertise directly on the net. On the other hand, the online register website companies have done the research for you. They update their database continually, and from what I understand companies actually pay to get on this register. They are simply the leaders in this business. The one time fee is simply to cover admin charges.
