Picture this achingly familiar scenario: You have been dating a great guy, you have a close relationship, things are going well. Soon though, he starts to withdraw, gets distant, does not call or come around. Eventually he gives you the "I'm not ready" speech, or "Its not you, it's me", etc. Did you take notice, though, of what you did when you first realized he was withdrawing? Did you know that women normally exhibit 1 or more of 5 behaviors? Check this out
One of the things women do to keep a man from withdrawing is to try to be his friend. You try to be helpful, "guy-like" and supportive, all the while thinking that he will soon realize how great you are.
Or - you could try to start dating other men, or telling people you are doing that in order to make him jealous. Of course, that jealousy will make him realize how much he loves you.
You might also pretend that he is not hurting you by withdrawing, and that a casual relationship is fine. Of course, you will still have sex with him to keep him coming over, but you mask your hurt and never let him see it.
You could also give him an ultimatum - guilt trip him or get angry with him and tell him to man up and get into the relationship. You are thinking that he will soon realize just how happy and content he really is and then happily ever after will follow.
Or of course, there is always trying to do everything for him that he could need done. You might baby him, do his laundry - be as thoughtful as possible in order to, again, show him how much he would be missing.
But guess what? These things do NOT work with men! We all DO them, but they don't work. It makes sense to us, as women, that logically, they would work. But the fact is, inside the mind of a man - they only drive him away.
Well - what does work then? The problem is there is no magic cure. There is no fairy dust, no pill, no instant fix in a sentence or two that is going to cure it. What WILL work, however, is to start doing the things that make a man feel a natural and lasting attraction toward you.
Understanding what creates natural attraction will help you in your own relationship to create a stable, satisfying relationship for both you and your partner. What prevents so many women from getting into the relationship of their dreams is that they cannot get past their own personal mindset.
I heard Dr Phil say on his show that "Change always starts with YOU". Your own mindset can affect how you act, react and interpret everything. If you want to create a positive change in your relationship, you need to start with yourself and become aware of your own tendencies and outlooks.
Creating natural and lasting attraction will help boost your relationship to new levels - levels of security, comfort and amazing connections that will last for a lifetime. Do yourself a favor and LEARN what triggers natural attraction and what YOU can do today to maintain that.
