One great way to take advantage of inspiration and really make it work for you is to use role models. When I was a little kid I was very fascinated by Tarzan. As far as I can remember this image of a human being was my first role model. I talked (hmfk, rmmm) like Tarzan and his monkeys, I tried to move like him and I imagined I looked like him. Later in my life I tried to be like John F. Kennedy, Muhammed Ali and James Bond. It is amazing how my mind was totally transferred just by acting like my role models. I made me feel like them (or should I say how I imagined they felt). However, how they felt is not the point rather how you can be when you feel great.
If you take a look at any successful businessperson, you will be able to see times in their life when they have made choices based on inspiration This inspiration is the same creative urge that artists and musicians feel: the urge to do something, and we can all learn from this.
Consider what it is that inspires you, what makes you get out of the easy chair and take action. It could be an emotion; it could be something like a hobby or an activity. Whatever it is does not matter as much as the fact that you are enthusiastic about it. That one thing will be the answer to desire for success. The things that inspire us and drive us are usually the things that we are best at, and that is the secret to success.
Everyone wants to be their own boss, and own their own business, and they also know that a lot of small business men cannot make it. You need fresh inspiration to motivate you to keep going, and you need to keep those fires burning internally, almost as though you were considering yourself on a mission every day for the rest of your working life.
As well as the get-up and go, you need the ability to plan, and to budget for the future. No amount of inspiration can carry your business without a business plan. Buy some financial software, the sort that will allow you to cater for everything. Plan ahead, and then start putting the plans into action. You should have some financial software that will allow you to plot where your money is going, and when. Don't consider this a block to your passions; planning everything you need in black and white with a financial software package can often provide inspiration for the next stage in building your own business.
