Left And Right Brain

    View:
Sometimes working a full time day job is more than a drag; it's paralyzing. Not for your body, perhaps, but for your creative energy. When you get home from work, you don't want to do anything but stare into space, or at most, absorb things like TV, movies, or internet. Below are some ways to structure your time so that you'll never lose touch with your artistic side.

Schedule it into your day:

If you can't find half an hour every day that could be put towards imagination, then you're not trying hard enough. Even just time spent commuting could be time spent constructively day-dreaming. And when you're doing chores it's a great time to let your mind wander.

Also, when you're about to go to sleep, don't let your brain go to mush. You're relaxed, which allows good ideas to start running through your mind. Use this to your advantage.

Take notes:

We all know about the mind blowing idea jotted on a napkin, and that's why it's not a bad idea to always have a napkin (or an index card, or a small journal) with you no matter where you go. Letting your mind wander into creative territory can also mean that you let it wander away from your long term memory, and a forgotten stroke of genius isn't going to do you any good three hours later when you need it.

Get up earlier for creative thinking time:

The mind is supposed to be the most alive when you first wake up. If you wake up a couple of minutes earlier, you'll get some extra time to let the creative juices going.

Ask yourself crazy questions:

Ask crazy questions like, "What exactly would I do if I had no limit in spending that I now have and would still succeed?"

Clearly state your USP:

Make sure your businesses USP is stated in a clear and brief manner. Even if you may have great ideas, it may not address the USP if it's unclear and ambiguous. If it's clear, then your idea will stand out for all to see.
Left And Right Brain
Asperger Symptom Syndrome is a pervasive developmental disorder characterized by an inability to understand how to interact socially. Typical features of the syndrome also may include clumsy and uncoordinated motor movements, social impairment with extreme egocentricity, limited interests and unusual preoccupations, repetitive routines or rituals, speech and language peculiarities, and non-verbal communication problems.

In answer to the inquiry about AS (Asperger Symptom Syndrome), it is simply a form of autism where the child (or adult) is more highly functioning. For us, this means that they are more reachable and teachable than a severely autistic person.

Autistic children, in general, response very well to being taught with the same tools used with early education: flashcards, music, colors, tactile learning materials and games.

Teaching children with Asperger Symptom Syndrome (AS) is the same as teaching any other child: first we start out by finding out:

1) Where they are developmentally on the child milestones of development (TweedleWink chart)?

2) What information they've been exposed to at this stage?

3) What information they've successfully learned ?

4) What information and skills are needed ?

From this, we develop an individual learning plan. We create flashcards and other learning materials to teach that which has not been given. And we begin physical exercises to help link both sides of the brain, which also encourages self-healing by way of boosting ongoing brain development.

And before we give this to the parents, we sit down with them and help them develop a loving and positive imaging plan:

Step 1: LOVE

1) What ways does their child express love?

2) What ways does their child best acknowledge love?

Accepting and giving love always corresponds to their learning style--and once the parent is aware of how their child receives information, they can use this pathway to strengthen love and a strong sense of well being.

Those with Asperger Syndrome (AS) tend to have strong right brain imagery. I know of a person with Asperger Syndrome (AS) who could not understand the verbal expression of emotions of others, so she began a dictionary for herself, writing down picture images that reflect what people were saying to her.

And example would be:

I'm hungry. = an empty refrigerator.

I'm sad. = ice cream cone on the ground.

Step 2: IMAGE

3) What would a good day with their child look like?

4) What would a good future for their child look like?

Teaching parents to hold a positive image for their child and the future is an absolute necessity. When doing so, we also like to encourage them to take time out for their own needs so that they are in a relaxed and positive space for producing the image and for

everyday parenting responsibilities.

So, start with the child profile how the child respond when doing something new, the respond to the questions and identify his dominant side of the brain.
