I would like to discuss the essential but often underestimated part of moving?packing supplies and moving boxes. It is important to use the right supplies and boxes to insure smooth and safe move. It is always good to create an outline before your move and get all the supplies that you might need beforehand. First things first?chances are the boxes that you may already have may not be sufficient for your move, and finding more boxes can be a time consuming undertaking. You may be drown to free boxes from a local liquor or grocery store but you may pay a price of getting dirty, smelly boxes or even worse boxes that may collapse or rip apart and damage your belongings. I will try to give some information on how and were to order your moving supplies and boxes.



All of the supplies and moving boxes have been designed with moving in mind and have proven to be effective in moving. The boxes are of special strength, taking care of your goods and giving them extra protection against damage. Make sure to get good boxes, because a few dollars you save, by getting cheaper-less durable boxes, may end up in a broken china set. Typical moving kits consist of moving boxes, duck tape, shrink or bubble wrap, paper and other special packing supplies that might be necessary for you to be able to do the job done.

Packing is arguably the most tedious part of moving. However, there are several things that you can do to make it much less of a chore then it already is. Start as early as you possibly can; if anything you will just end up with some leftover time. Make sure you have enough boxes, wrap, and markers or sharpies that you can label with. Begin by wrapping your items and make sure they are padded. More valuable items obviously need a thicker protection. Small bags like grocery bags and even Ziplocs can be used for small lose items. Stack the items that you need closer to the top for easier access. When packing carpets and rugs, roll them up and tape them.

Throughout the entire process, make sure that you are labeling the boxes by room so that finding necessary items is easier; also mark the heavier boxes and boxes with more durable items (books, bedding and linens etc.) to be placed on the bottom. Always fully pack your boxes so after stacking them on top of each other they wouldn't collapse under their own weight. When purchasing the boxes try to get the majority of them to be the same size for easier placement in side the moving van and to save space.
