Fitting out a shop can be expensive, but there are ways to save money on fittings. If you own a store and are considering some new shop fittings then you might want to consider Slatwall panels. Slatwall is made from mdf boards that measure 2440mm x 1200 mm. To ensure that you get a perfectly straight edge that's not damaged, slatwall is routered. The way the grooves are routered in will depend on what the slatwall is going to be used for.

Slatwall can be given a wood grain finish, which is great for both counter tops and display cabinets or display gondolas. Display counters can also be fitted with PVC inserts to protect displays and give them an attractive background. Slatwall is an economic way to fit out your shop as it is cheaper than solid wood and does just as good a job. If you need glass panels inserted into your shop counters then that can be done as well.

Slatwall is versatile and can be put to many uses, which makes it ideal for things like shop counters, cupboards and displays. Your slatwall needs will vary, depending on what type of store you are setting up, display gondolas for example, are great for showing your best shoes, if you have a shoe store. Display gondolas also work well in general stores or news stores because people can turn the gondola to see products around on the other side.

Slatwall can be made to look very attractive and people won't necessarily know that your shop fittings are largely made from mdf. Although there is a lot of snobbery about where and how mdf should be used, its adaptability means that it really is an ideal material for fitting out a shop. Slatwall panels can be cut to size and edged with metal for shelving purposes, whether these are in your main counter or in the display cabinets.

The right counters, display shelves and display gondolas are vital if you want to display your merchandise to its best advantage. You can save more money by having open fronted displays if you feel that your goods will be safe that way.

When you first think about buying a store, you probably imagine the counters and display shelves etc. will already be set, but this is often not the case. New store owners move into an empty building and find that they have to get moving quickly to get the store fitted out so that they can sell their merchandise.

Even though you may not currently be a fan of mdf shop fittings, you will soon change your mind when you see what can be done with slatwalls. A slatwall can be cut down to whatever size is best suited to your needs and the way you want to display your products for sale. Most customers enjoy a good display, so have your shop fitted out well should not be considered an extra expense, but rather one that is integral and vital to the success of your business.

Slatwall is used by store owners everywhere because they know that it's the most adaptable material they can use for their shop counters, display gondolas, shelves and cupboards or just about anything.

If you haven't thought about fitting out your shop this way before, then perhaps now is the time to consider it.
