Part Time College Instructor

    View:
You're constantly running back and forth from class to class. You have seminars to attend to. You have to get back to your dorm to study for tomorrow's test. You told a friend you would stop by, and you've got an essay to write by tomorrow morning. Does this sound like you? If so then you are having trouble managing your time. You need to learn about time management. To be more specific, you need advice aimed at the subject of time management for college.

Your Time Is Valuable

You've got exams, friends, parties, and many other things going on in your life right now. Then of course there is your studying, which has to take top priority because your parents won't pay for college if you don't maintain a certain grade. You want to be able to have fun and enjoy your time at college just as much as everybody else, but there just doesn't seem to be enough time in the day to do it all. Here in lies the problem, you of course can't do anything about the amount of time you are given to complete the tasks given to you. You can however change the way you manage the time you have. Time management for college students is essential to getting your work done on time, and enjoying the spare time you have.

Time management for college means that you have to balance out your interests in learning, socializing, and sports, from your responsibilities to your education, however, you have to find time to enjoy for yourself as well, so not only your family, friends, and professors are happy but so are you. College is an excellent time to start laying down the foundation for your success. And it simply comes down to good having time management skills.

Realizing your own techniques for time management for college will undoubtedly create yourself as a successful person. You will definitely accomplish your goals, and you can use your new time management skills in every day life as well. These are skills that will be there and help you throughout your left. By placing a value on your time you will now have an advantage over the people that are still running back and forth trying to make time for unimportant tasks. Time management for college life is all about making intelligent choices, it is about creating a balance between your academic and personal life, and not about choosing one over the other.

Lots of college students out there are known for their drinking habits and parties on the weekends, but there are a lot of ways that you can have a good time every weekend and that good time not cost you an arm and a leg. If you have a habit of drinking and partying every other weekend (you should be studying, you know), here are some tips to help you lower the bill.

To limit how much you spend on beer both for yourself and for your friends, only take a certain amount of cash with you. Leave the credit cards at home, since if you are going to be getting drunk, you might be easily taken advantage of or even have your wallet stolen.

If you really have to go out to a club, make sure you drink where the specials are on any given night. Sometimes women are given discounted drinks on certain nights of the week and sometimes they are even free.

And hey, ladies, do not forget that a lot of men like to buy a woman drinks. Just be careful if you are out by yourself and do not turn your back on the drink for a minute or leave it unattended. It's nice to have someone buy you a drink, but if they slip something in it while you aren't looking, you might not live to regret it.

If you go into a sit-down restaurant, try to avoid getting beer, wine, and cocktails there. Lots of these restaurants make a ton of money on these because their markup on these items is notoriously high. Take a break and have a soda instead, especially if you need to sober up a little.

Need some help with the entertainment end of things? Lots of people are trying to make their homes (or at least, their dorm rooms) one-stop shops for entertainment by having big TVs, game consoles, computers, and other forms of entertainment.

If you really want to save money, invite friends over and have them all bring drinks and food with them. That way, nobody spends as much money as they normally would.

Renting movies through a local store is not typically very expensive and you can rotate out who pays for the rental each time you have a party.

And at least one weekend a month, avoid going out and spending any money. Take some time to do what you went to college to do in the first place: get an education.
