There are lots and lots of articles on style and the technical side of putting the article together. We won't cover any of that here. But what I'd like to do is to share with you these 5 Great Article Ideas.

Try these ideas when you find that 'the Block won't budge'!

1. Story Article.

The story article doesn't have to be non-fiction! You could write a fictional story that has a purpose and a meaning. How could you benefit your readers with a short story? You might turn them into rabid fans or even rabid prospects!

You also could write a story that somebody shared with you. It does not have to be your story. Heard any interesting stories lately that might resonate with prospects? Write them in your journal or record them but don't let them slip away.

It's important to point out that you don't have to write an article about a recent experience. Something could have happened to you many years ago that would make a perfect story today. Once you put your ideas in your journal or record them you could use them months or years from now.

2. Personal Experience Article.

One of the most effective articles is the personal experience article. Because it happened to you, you'll be more passionate about it and your readers will "feel" that passion. It doesn't have to be a good personal experience either. Sometimes painful experiences are even more powerful than uplifting stories. Is there something painful in your life that could help others? Put it in writing.

Got a great powerful uplifting story or triumph? Write an article about it. Have you ever done something dumb that turned out to be something great? Tell people about your personal experiences and you will be amazed at the results you can get from sharing the simple truth.

3. Tips Article.

There are things that we learn in any industry that seem simple, once you understand them. Why not share with people your tips on how to? Could you write an article full of things that you have had to learn the hard way? Could you write about experiences and tell people what to look for? Is it possible that you give an idea that would make for a great article?

Did you go to a convention or big meeting with a guest speaker? Did anybody say anything that hit you like a ton of bricks? What were people saying after the meeting? Take your recorder and talk to professionals and other successful people. Ask them for the best tip that they could give somebody to help them become successful.

Tips are everywhere! You give tips and you hear tips. Tips articles are floating in the air and all you have to do is start thinking differently. Start listening differently and you will have more tips articles than you could ever write. Don't take somebody's tip and copy it exactly as they have given it to you. Put your own spin on it. Remember, ideas and creativity can come from anywhere; it's the development of the idea that makes it uniquely yours.

4. 'Save Money' Article.

People are always looking for ways to save money. Do you think that will ever change? You may not be able to save them money with your opportunity but what about your products? Money and the lack of money is a universal topic that will always impact people. What's in it for me? Teach me how to save money and you have my attention.

Although we didn't make this a point of it's own, aren't people interested in making money too? The problem with make money articles is that you will need to be more creative to gain any competitive advantage because everybody claims they can help people make more money.

5. 'Eliminate Stress' Article.

Find a way to help readers eliminate stress in their lives and you'll have the ear of a vast number of people. Stress is everywhere. People want to eliminate stress don't they? How does your business help them? How do your products help people eliminate stress?

Remember the old Newspaper dictum for fact gathering: Who, What, When, Where, Why. Here are some 'What' questions. You can fill in with the others....

· What do your prospects ask you?

· What did you hear on the last opportunity conference call you were on?

· What did you hear on the last training conference call you were on?

· What are people saying in forums?

· What did you hear on the radio? TV? In the News? Remember: Great article ideas are everywhere!

What's a link? It's a way of navigating from one webpage to another. And there are three types:

1. An 'internal link' is a link within the same website linking the different pages or sections.

2. An 'external link' takes you from a webpage in one website to a webpage in another website.

3. A 'backlink' is created when another website links to yours.

Let's consider link building in more detail.

There are 4 different types of link building formats:

* Dynamic Links - These links are in Javascript and while they also create links from one webpage to another, they also include codes to perform extra functions. Search engines cannot follow 'dynamic links,' so these are not much use for SEO and ranking purposes.

* Image Links - An image link is any suitable image that is imbeded with a link to another site. Search engines cannot read images, but can follow the alternate text, if this has been included in the image properties.

* URL Link - The most common - a website address link

* Text Links or static links - This is the most popular kind of link, when the url or any link is imbedded within a word or phrase that you simply click on.

Links allow both humans and search engine spiders to visit your website. A 'spider' is a computer program that visits websites to gather information used for indexing that site in their search results (SERPS). They do not include links in link building that include a "no follow" code, which, as the name implies, informs the search engine robot not to follow that particular link.

Though a search engine spider cannot follow a 'no-follow' link from another website to yours, you can still receive visitors through that link. That link will, however, be discounted for page rank purposes. though that link building effort could still result in a large number of visitors.

What are high worth links? - Links that enhance your page value or importance, and links that increase your page rank.

What types of link building links should you aim for?

1. One-way links - A one-way link is a unilateral link; like when a website links to yours but does not require you to link back.

2. Reciprocal links - A reciprocal link requires that you link back to the site that is linked to yours - like a mutual exchange of url links.

Of the two, one-way links have more worth. Their value is gauged by relevance to your site and the page rank of the site that is linked to yours. The higher the page rank, the greater the link value. However, that does not mean that only high quality links have 'visitors value.' Even links that have no worth in ranking (SEO), can result in hundreds or thousands of targeted visitors, depending on factors like site popularity, relevance, visitors ...

The more websites that link to yours the better. However, link building takes time, focus and perseverance. There are software and tutorials that can simplify and accelerate the process for you, as suggested below, and if you concentrate on getting quality links, you will see a greater return on your link building venture. In search engine optimization (SEO), 100 high quality links in your link building project can be much more valuable than 1000 links of dubious value.
