What is the Rewards Program and how do I participate in it?

We've also taken great care to develop leather uppers that will not crack, shrink or stretch when washed. Even KEEN leather Newport sandals are machine washable. Use a small amount of detergent, wash on gentle cycle and air dry. We've carefully selected leather uppers designed to last.

What equipment do I need to have?

Our orientation program will supply all of the outdoor and camping gear. You will, however, need to bring all of the equipment on your equipment check list. If you do not have all the necessary items (such as sleeping bag or backpack), we have a limited number you can reserve from the Northland College Outpost. Please contact the Outdoor Orientation Student Director if you need to reserve equipment .

Should we bring all trekking equipment with us?

You can easily rent needed equipment for reasonable price in Kathmandu or Pokhara before trek but it's always preferable and more convenient to have your own equipment during trekking, so we advise you to bring equipment with you or to buy here as most of the outdoor equipment can be bought in Kathmandu or Pokhara in one of the many outdoor gear shops.The best outdoor gear store in the world, in our opinion, is Mountain Equipment Co-op, a Canadian company.

Will there be Advertising?

Yes, but in a variety of unconventional, non-intrusive ways. Nobody likes advertising, but creative camoflauge helps us make it at least tolerable. What clothes should I bring ?

Choosing the right clothing is very important. You want to have enough clothes to stay warm or cool yet not over pack. Usually you will have warm days and cold nights. A warm jacket either fleece or down can be nice for the evening . Long under wear and wool socks are good for warmth too. We encourage people to bring a light pair of pants and shorts for hiking. Sunscreen and glasses are a must . Rain and hail can appear on a trek so we suggest a Gore-Tex jacket.You can now choose a variety of different hairstyles for each Sim. Match a different look to each of their wardrobe types, including the new Outerwear category.
