Quite surprisingly, the group has managed to achieve this level of success without affiliation by a major recording label. Actually, the group has pretty much managed to achieve their success all on their own. When no one was interested in releasing their album, they decided to set up their own label and release it on their own. That proved to be an excellent decision as their self-titled debut album has since sold more than 100,000 units since it was released in August of 2006. The album also produced three hit singles; “I Love It”, “UFO” and “Picture.” Each of the songs features the unique pop style which Sneaky Sound System has quickly become identified with producing.
Along with the two ARIA awards, Sneaky Sound System has also taken home two AIR Awards, one for best independent artist and another for best performing independent single/EP. The latter was garnered for their Funky House Music tinged hit single “UFO.” The Australian Independent Record Labels Association, or AIR as it is frequently known, was organized in order to acknowledge local labels and acts that were not previously affiliated with any major label. That is certainly the case with Sneaky Sound System.
Without a big record label to back them, the group has had to rely on nothing but their talent. That certainly appears to have been sufficient as it has driven them to the top of their category not once but multiple times. The fact that they were almost immediately picked up by the Scissor Sisters and Robbie Williams to support their acts on tour obviously did not hurt matters.
More recently, Sneaky Sound System has also received attention from a number of other big names in pop as well. In addition to joining the previously mentioned artists, Sneaky Sound System has also lent support to Nick Cave and they have even been drafted to create a song for Kylie Minogue, which has been described in glowing terms by music critics and hints at a level of talent that is steadily maturing.
While their debut album met with tremendous success, it is their second album that fans have been awaiting. The album has been titled 2 and is slated to contain not only a wealth of new material but some of the best songs from their hit debut album as well. The group has already gained a tremendous amount of notoriety from overseas fans who were clearly in the mood for something different and have found it with the eclectic mix that Sneaky Sound System provides. If the group's second album is even half as successful as their debut album, and it is predicted to be even more so, the group could find themselves facing international stardom before long.

The dance scene in Australia is currently producing extremely talented, eclectic and unique groups that are taking the world by storm. While the dance scene is quite hot in Australia at the current time, it is largely a derivative of cultures that have found success overseas, before experiencing changes and finding a home in Australia. In the mid-1980s, raves and warehouse parties were all the rage in England. The culture finally made its way to Australia in 1988, where it served to influence the emerging Australian dance scene. Today, that scene is largely a mixture of techno warehouse parties that first became popular in Detroit as well as trance beach parties that emerged from Goa.
Over the years, the dance culture has certainly changed and emerged. A number of groups have emerged as a result, finding not only success in Australia but around the world as well. Today, one of the most successful bands to emerge in the last couple of years is Sneaky Sound System. At the current time, Sneaky Sound System is one of the most popular groups in the country. Their debut album has gone platinum twice over. At one time, the group had not one but four hit singles listed in the Top 50. Their Funky House Music tinged hit single “I Love It” broke records when it remained on the charts for an astounding 70 weeks, more than any other group in history.
As if that were not enough, the group has garnered numerous awards and their shows are consistently sold out. Considering the critical acclaim and success that the group has achieved in just two short years, one might think that the bank had a huge recording company behind them, supporting their success. Not so. The group is completely independent. Unlike other groups, which are largely manufactured acts, Sneaky Sound System has managed to display achieve tremendous success in the world of pop, yet their background is indelibly linked to the dance scene that has rocked the country.
In fact, it is safe to say that Sneaky Sound System is the biggest and most successful band to emerge from the dance music scene of Australia. Unable to find anyone to support their efforts, the group self-released their own debut album. It proved to be a savvy move, considering the incredible success that one album has achieved for the group.
While one might never guess it today considering the sold out tickets and top of the chart hits, the group originally started as the result of a club night known as ‘Sneaky Sundays.' The special night was hosted by DJ Black Angus and Mc Double D. They were able to quickly attract some extremely high-profile guests, which led to even further success. Their first house mix CD proved to be highly successful and it was not long before the duo began to work on their own independent tracks. After they recruited Connie Mitchell for vocals, their electro pop style tunes became practically irresistible.
