The Bachelor special, "After the Final Rose" was supposed to answer all the questions the fans posed after Brad Womack refused to choose between the two women, DeAnna Pappas and Jenni Croft. Fans were eager to know the reasons why he did not make a decision, and why he even bought a purposeless ring. Moreover, they wanted to know if Brad did change his mind about the two women after the finale, or was this all a script written by the producers of the show.



BuddyTV's readers were quite irritated with the developments on The Bachelor, and they expressed their thoughts freely in our message boards. Most of them became a legion of Brad-haters, while a few stood by the Bachelor and believed in his decision. Here's what they had to say.

BabyLate put it plain and simple: Brad Womack "is completely unaware, self-absorbed JERK!" leleana agreed and vented out her frustrations, saying that he "doesn't even ATTEMPT to explain his thought process. Everything he said either contradicted what he'd said earlier or was refuted by something Jenni and DeAnna said."

gnaty was also a frustrated one as he/she posted all her questions, saying "Why did it have to be all or nothing for Brad? Why couldn't he have continued to date ONE girl? Then see where it goes from there. I don't think he was being completely honest with his reasons as to why he didn't choose DeAnna." cherylb was already thinking of revenge, saying "boycott his bars ie: the Dizzy Rooster and the Chugging Monkey. That's the least that he deserves" after saying that he needs serious therapy. However, civilwar thought that therapy won't do, adding that "Brad] needs GOD in his life. The girls will move on and find some very loving, deserving man to fulfill their dreams and lives. GOD has something better in store for them."

Some readers, on the other hand, did stand by Brad Womack. For instance, AlltheRightReasons thought that Brad was avoiding having to choose because it would be unfair to the other woman, and thus does not blaming him for not giving up himself to just one woman. LizzieB agreed and said, "Why does Brad HAVE to choose someone. I give him credit for not picking someone just to save face. He obviously doesn't like either girl so why does he HAVE to continue to date one of them?" jcg716 on the other hand stood in the in between, saying "I don't necessarily agree with what he did but if he truly had genuine feelings for both girls, he did do the honorable thing by walking away."

Lastly, a couple of readers directed their disappointment to The Bachelor's producers. angelhrt1971 on the other hand, plainly claimed that there is a solution to all of this, and that is to "bring back The Bachelorette- then maybe we will have a happy ending like the 1st time. DeAnna should be the next bachelorette so she can choose from 25 men."
