In most pregnancies you can continue to be intimate throughout the whole pregnancy, and many doctors actually suggest having sex toward the end of a pregnancy because sperm actually helps to speed up the changes in the cervix that allow for a woman to give birth.

So, having sex can not only be a great way to pass the time and renew your bonds, it can also help to progress the pregnancy when you reach or pass your due date. You should definitely take advantage of the sex during pregnancy as a woman usually cannot have sex for at least two weeks afterward and a new baby may limit your opportunities.
