Type 1 Diabetes Genetic

    View:
Type 1 diabetes is also called insulin-dependent diabetes. It is a chronic condition in which the pancreas produces little or no insulin, a hormone needed to convert sugar (glucose) into energy. Diabetes is a lifelong disease for which there is not yet a cure. There are several forms of diabetes. Type 1 diabetes is caused by a lack of insulin output because of damage to the pancreas gland. The body's defense system may attack insulin-making cells by mistake. Damage to the pancreas can occur for a many reasons, eg a viral infection. But the most common cause in Type 1 diabetes is the body’s own immune system.

Various factors may contribute to type 1 diabetes, including genetics and exposure to certain viruses. Despite active research, type 1 diabetes has no cure. Type 1 diabetes can occur at any age, but it usually starts in people younger than 30. Symptoms are usually severe and occur rapidly. Type 1 diabetes symptoms include Extreme hunger ,Weight loss ,Blurred vision, and fatigue. The best diet for people with type 1 diabetes is low in fat. This diet will help you control your blood sugar level, as well as your blood pressure and cholesterol levels. Monitor your blood sugar level is to test it at least 3 times each day, including at bedtime. Regular exercise helps control the amount of sugar in the blood and helps burn excess calories and fat to achieve optimal weight.

Type 1 Diabetes Treatment Tips

1. Taking several insulin injections every day, using an insulin pump, or using inhaled insulin.

2. Monitoring blood sugar levels several times a day using a home blood sugar meter.

3. Regular physical exercise, because exercise helps the body to use insulin more efficiently.

4. Not drinking alcohol and smoking if the person is at risk for periods of low blood sugar.

5. Treatment for diabetic ketoacidosis includes fluids given through a vein to treat dehydration

6. Eating a healthful diet that spreads carbohydrate throughout the day, to prevent high blood sugar levels after meals.
Type 1 Diabetes Genetic
Type 1 diabetes is a very well known disease due its permanent existence in the body system and also the serie of procedures that involves. Diabetes occurs due to the lack of beta cells in the pancreas. Much more, the role of the beta cells is in producing insulin, a vital component of the body system. Once they are destroyed by the body's own immune system, they need to be replace by external sources in order to maintain a balance of beta cells in the pancreas and the most important in prolonging life.

In addition to this, type 1 diabetes tends to be more severe than type 2 diabetes and most of the times occurs during childhood. Type 1 diabetes appears when the beta cells in the pancreas that produce insulin are totally damaged. Consequently, without insulin which is suppose to transfer glucose into the cells, the blood glucose levels rise above the normal limits. This procedure is knows as hyperglycemia.

Moreover, because the body cannot use sugar, it is spilled over into the urine and lost eventually. Some of the most common symptoms caused by type 1 diabetes are the sudden weight of loss, the permanent feelings of hunger and thirst and the weakness of the body. Although type 1 diabetes is a common disease , the specialists haven't discoverd the real source of its occurance. It has been considered that genetic predisposition and also enviromental factors, such as viral infections have a great influence. It is important to say that the process which destroys the beta cells may take a long period of time until the insulin production stops and once the type 1 diabetes appears, it becomes very serios in a short time.

Furthermore, type 1 diabetes is a common affection in the children, especially at early ages, such as 4 or 5 years old. Parents may notice certain changes in their children behaviour and because diabetes has its own symptoms, not very known by people, they may not know the real condition of their children. In this case parents should take their children to the physician in order to find out if they suffer of Type 1 diabetes or other affection. Some of the first signs of type 1 diabetes are excessive hunger and thirst, frequent urination, the child suffers severe loss of weight, becomes weak, fatigue, tend to have problems at school, eyesight disfunctions, nausea and in the worst cases a coma may be the most important sign. Blood Glucose presents certain levels called Level Goals for children with diabetes.

For instance, before meals the blood glucose levels should be less than 110 mg/dL 90-130 mg/dl, on the other hand, bedtime blood glucose levels need to be less than 120 mg/dL 110-150 mg/dL; HbA1c 4% to 6& less than 7%.

In conclusion, type 1 diabetes can become a serios affection if it is not cured with the appropriate treatment. Parents should pay attention to their children unusual behaviour and symptoms and should ask medical help in a short time. Only with medical treatment and a special diet, children who suffer from type 1 diabetes can have an easy life without any complications.
