Read these simple instructions on how to get started on your way to a great finished project!

When you begin your first writing endeavor, it is often overwhelming

to organize all the information you have accumulated into a finished book manuscript. The following tips should help you get organized and get writing!

1) Compile all your notes and written material into piles of content.

File each one into subject groups.

2) Create an overview, or synopsis of the book.

Ask yourself these key questions:

*What is the message of my book?

*What are the main points of my book?

*What will make my book different from others like it?

*Define the beginning, middle and end of the story.

* Set the order of the book's key events.

You must introduce your subject in a certain order for the reader to understand and comprehend your message. Make sure that the order of introduction is appropriate for that purpose.

3) Begin a Table of Contents page. This can be revised as many times as you like, but it gives your book a designated order of events,

which will be essential to your finished project.

After all these tasks are completed, you can now begin writing with a purpose. You will see your writing take shape into a message of intent, and soon you will have the first few chapters to submit. Use your order of the books? content and subject matter to help you organize your message.

Once you have a beginning, middle and end, just start to fill in the blanks with your writing, and it will soon come together for you.

NOTE: If you are submitting a manuscript portion for review, you will at least need the first three

chapters in their entirety.

Before sending a manuscript to anyone, you will need an "Author Bio" page. This document should be only one page, and should tell the reader about yourself, and your relation to the subject that you are writing about.

Answer these questions on the Author page:

1) Your experience related to the topic.

2) Your credentials, certifications, etc. on the subject.

3) Any necessary history leading to the book.

4) Personal: Minor details only. Example: Author, Miles Lavre is married with two children, and resides in Los Angeles, California. He is currently on the lecturing schedule.
